This has truly influenced me and the way that in the wake of serving for a long time the informer came out and said it was a plot to get him since she really liked him!It was in a humble community in the edges of the primary city. Lodging was costly and as we were attempting to accomplish a couple of dreams of our lives, we didnââ¬â¢t consider leasing a major house a need since our salary was not really. I had grown up along with Ian and we knew each other so well. We shared the majority of our dreams. When Ian met Julie the adoration for his heart, he was certain to such an extent that she was the lady for her. They had dated for at some point and up and down the dating time frame Julie was offering a space to some other two companions of hers. One of which was her closest companio n while the other was a young lady they had been along with in the university. They realized that from the beginning they would turn out to be monetarily steady and each would go their way when their pay could permit them to bear the cost of lease every one on her own. When Julie and Ian chose to come and live respectively, it was from the outset not troublesome since the two young ladies shared the lease between themselves. Julie and Ian had remained together for 3 months when a need excite for Karen to move out of the town. (Karen is the other young lady from the college who was currently left living with Tina) Tina is Julieââ¬â¢s best friend. When the news came to Julie that Karen was wanting to leave the town she was somewhat stressed over her closest companion since she realized that Tina would not stand to live in there alone. However it was an extreme thing to consider since the main left alternative was to inquire as to whether he could permit Tina to come and remain with the m regardless of whether for certain days before she get somebody to impart a space to or maybe until she could bear to remain alone. She realized that she needed to get ready on the best way to deal with present this solicitation to Ian. She was concerned that might be it may turn out that Ian would decline that sort of a thing. But she expected to ask him the soonest conceivable. An idea came into her that it is important to initially address Tina possibly she may have an alternate idea. She made her short excursion and visited her closest companion whom she found in tears. They talked subsequent to consoling her and Tina was glad to have understood that her companion considered her in such manners. She realized that her concern was half understood since the main outstanding part was presently to approach Ian. They concurred that when Ian gave a criticism Julie would let Tina know soonest possible. When Tina got back that night she was so eager yet she thought that it was difficult to begin it to Ian. It was until Ian seen that her focus was separated and that she appeared to be somewhat upset. Ian strolled to where Julie had sat and sat on the arm of the seat that she had involved. He took a gander at her with concern and asked her ââ¬Ësweetheart is everything alright? How was your day?ââ¬â¢Julie knew directly inside her this was the ideal second; she realized that a possibility had come and she was not going to burn through whenever about it. She answered to him ââ¬Ëeverything has been fine yet I just stressed over my closest companion Tina, she is by and large left by Karen in that room we used to live the three of us. Karen needs to move out of this town as she has work somewhere else so she is just around here for a month. The issue here is that we had selected to remain the three of us since none could manage the cost of living alone. Only three months after I left Tina to remain with Karen now Karen is going to leave. Tina can not manage the cost o f it aloneââ¬â¢. As she talked all these Ian just tuned in without interference however when she presented Ian asked ââ¬Ëso what is the problem? Are you proposing that you need to return there?ââ¬â¢ she realized this would stress Ian, he would successfully have in his room thus she said to him ââ¬Ëyou see that is the main other choice since it probably won't be perfect to you to have her here remaining with usââ¬â¢ do you think Tina consent to come and remain with us? This was Ian inquiring. Julie disclosed to him that she didn't know about it but rather on the off chance that Ian would not have an issue with it, at that point she would ask Tina when they met next about it.Then Ian said; ââ¬Ë that isn't something to stress over to the point of losing fixation, everything will be alright for her, we can remain with her in the event that she concurs in the event that she won't, at that point it implies she has a superior choice and consequently the difficult will be i lluminated. viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-20464920766387614742020-08-22T22:35:00.001-07:002020-08-22T22:35:15.944-07:00The Impacts Of Minimum Wages Policy Economics EssayThe Impacts Of Minimum Wages Policy Economics Essay In light of the outline over, the amount gracefully of neighborhood work before setting the lowest pay permitted by law (P1) is at Q1. Subsequent to setting the lowest pay permitted by law (P2), the amount flexibly of neighborhood work increments to Q2. The amount gracefully of all out work before setting the lowest pay permitted by law (P1) is at Q4. In the wake of setting the lowest pay permitted by law (P2), the amount request diminishes to Q3. Inferable from the explanation that setting the lowest pay permitted by law, deficiencies of neighborhood work at JKL emerges at the lowest pay permitted by law of P2 and excess of outside work at EKM emerges at the lowest pay permitted by law of P2. The setting of least wages will expand the joblessness rate since managers will hope to enlist increasingly particular representatives or less workers to keep up sound edges (Chotin, Finch, Eaton, Engham, Goldblatt, 2009). A case of joblessness from ordering would be Washington. Washingtons high schooler joblessness in 1999 was 19.7% and as ordering was applied its teenager joblessness expanded to 29.7% in year 2008 (Chotin, Finch, Eaton, Engham, Goldblatt, 2009). The accompanying diagram outlines the development in youngster joblessness rates in Washington (Chotin, Finch, Eaton, Engham, Goldblatt, 2009). It used to contrast and the joblessness paces of the remainder of United States. This diagram shows that when the lowest pay permitted by law rises organizations recruit less representatives to work. For retailers, this implies less representatives on the floor offering, keeping up stock and helping clients to discover items. For instance, stores which center around client support won't have the option to make such clearing worker reductions (Chotin, Finch, Eaton, Engham, Goldblatt, 2009). Market Basket, a supermarket natural pecking order based out of Massachussetts is a case of a store concentrating on consumer loyalty, which faces issue on raising least wages. Market Basket recruits numerous youthful adolescents to keep the floor loaded with workers to help the clients however much as could reasonably be expected. They likewise attempt to ensure the store spotless, satisfactory and answer clients questions. Along these lines, when setting the lowest pay permitted by law, it will powers Market Basket and different administrations centers retailers cut backs in different regions (Chotin, Finch, Eaton, Engham, Goldblatt, 2009). Other than that, if the administration setting least wages arrangement, it will influence the profitability and proficiency of managers or makers (Chua, 2008). When there is the lowest pay permitted by law approach, the makers will look for elective approach to lessen the quantity of representatives, for example, exchange new machine and new innovative so as to spare the expense of creation in long haul premise. For instance, there are two similarly profitable laborers relegated to clear a lush parcel. The principal specialist is given a scoop and a hatchet, the second, piece of machinery. In this way, the subsequent laborer is increasingly beneficial contrast and first specialist in light of the fact that difficult work can't contend with better innovation (Matthew B. Kibbe, 1998). Also, least wages approach causes expansion in the nation. At the point when the administration set higher least wages approach, the makers can't adapt to expenses of creation. It will make the costs of all items increment colossally. In this manner, the populace, particularly the low salary class, would think that its progressively hard to remain in the high living consumption society. In light of the business analyst, this known as cost-push swelling (Michael Pollick, 2010). An expansion in the government the lowest pay permitted by law will build the expenses of creation, which in this manner brings about a swelled cost for shoppers. Businesses want to employ outsiders since they are charge lower compensation and are all the more ready to work additional hours (Loh, 2009). In year 2008, remote non-occupants people represent 1.2 million individuals of the whole populace and with the supposition that outside work from Singapore isn't outside ability. In this way, if the nation sets the base wages arrangement, it will lessen reliance on remote work since Malaysians will be conceded need in work situation contrasted with outside laborers (Chua, 2008). Thus, the lowest pay permitted by law arrangement would carry points of interest and disservices to Malaysia and her populace. To lessen the impact of the detriments of the lowest pay permitted by law, the Malaysian government needs to work out the best route on diminishing the hindrances of the lowest pay permitted by law approach with the goal that legislature and populace can pick up as much as advantages as trusted. The legislature would need to investigate the subtleties relating to the deficiencies of the lowest pay permitted by law strategy, for example, the chance of increment in remote work rather than neighborhood works and consider other potential issues that could emerge. Question 2 2.1 Introduction (GDP) is characterized as the absolute market estimation of a countrys yield. It is the market estimation of every single last great and administrations delivered inside a given timeframe by variables of creation situated inside a nation (Case Fair, 2002). The creation of a given estimation of products and enterprises would produce an equivalent estimation of salary. Along these lines, the essential uniformity between the GDP and gross local salary shows that the GDP can be estimated both as the all out estimation of yield created and as the pay created in delivering that yield (Tregarthen, 1996). In this way, in the accompanying article, GDP per capita is utilized as a proportion of financial development and expectations for everyday comforts of a nation over some stretch of time. 2.2 Measuring Economic Output Performance A countrys monetary yield execution is presently estimated utilizing the GDP of the nation. A technique rehearsed by practically all nations by and by. The GDP is a broadly utilized and acknowledged strategy for financial estimation in numerous nations. It is refreshed much of the time and observed by explicit national factual bodies to guarantee the best exactness of the monetary estimation (Madsen, 2006). Gross domestic product empowers the nation organizers and monetary organizers to screen the financial pattern of the nation in a customary, intermittent premise. Notwithstanding the normalized GDP, there are numerous restrictions to this idea. One of these impediments is GDP per capita neglects to incorporate non-advertised yield and family unit creation. Gross domestic product per capita does exclude the estimation of the exertion and time put into giving family unit merchandise and ventures (Tregarthen, 1996). For instance, a family repainted their home without anyone else without utilizing the administrations of a talented painter. Their time and exertion was excluded from the figuring of the GDP. In any case, if the family utilizes the administration of a gifted painter to repaint their home, the worth would be included into the GDP. These would appear in the GDP. Nonetheless, it doesn't mirror the real increment underway. It might mirror a move underway from a classification that is excluded from the GDP (eg. family unit creation) to another class that is incorporated. Gross domestic product likewise neglects to incorporate natural corruption (Waterson, 2010). An expanding pay and development of a nation could be occuring to the detriment of the earth. Quick creating nations risk making negative externalities nature. The assembling segment could be contributing a ton to the countries GDP, be that as it may, the segment could likewise be the significant supporter of the air contamination in the territory because of the smoke discharged. The contaminated air can mess breathing up and infections among the neighboring social orders. Besides, salary got from the bootleg market and humanitarian effort isn't represented in the GDP (Madsen, Dec 2006). On account of the bootleg market, there are no reports of creation to the administration to sidestep charge and the law. For instance, the secret exercises, similar to prostitution, human dealing, and medication dealing, are rewarding. In any case, they are not revealed in light of the law. On account of humanitarian effort and beneficent associations, they don't win pay in any case. In this way, it isn't accounted for in the GDP notwithstanding the yield created. 2.3 Measuring Rising Standard of Living The most well-known proportion of way of life is the utilization of genuine GDP per capita (Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, 2003). Genuine GDP per capita is the swelling balanced GDP per capita. Accepting different angles stay equivalent, a supported increment in genuine GDP would expand the countrys way of life gave the yield increments at a quicker rate contrasted with the absolute populace (Riley, 2006). The upside of utilizing genuine GDP per capita is that the nation organizers and economy organizers can create financial approaches and advancement plans since the pattern in the GDP per capita at a particular period would mirror the expectations for everyday comforts of the populace (Madsen, 2006). In this manner, identifying with the paper article in the inquiry, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, had uncovered the New Economic Model 2010 on the grounds that the administration accepts that the expectations for everyday comforts of Malaysians can be additionally improved. Notwithstanding, there are constraints to the use of genuine GDP per capita as a proportion of expectations for everyday comforts. The inability to consider the appropriation of pay is one of its inadequacies. Since genuine GDP per capita (per capita salary) is a marker of the normal expectation for everyday comforts of individual individuals from the populace, it can't extend the real expectations for everyday comforts of the populace (Madsen, 2006). Pay of the populace changes as indicated by the geological district (Hillstrom, n.d.). Some portion of the populace might be getting their pay from the assembling business though another part could be procuring their pay from the travel industry area. Per capita salary likewise changes enormously all through the world. As indicated by Susan Dentzer in U.S. News and World Report, in 1988 the main 20 percent of nations around the world (in light of yearly national pay) detailed per capita pay calculates a normal of multiple times more noteworthy than the last 20 percent of nations. As of the last quarter of 2009, Malaysias per capita pay (Gross National Income per capita) figure remains at RM25,201 (Department of Statistics Malaysia, 2010). The genuine GDP likewise doesn't take into viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-41167936676472913392020-08-22T12:20:00.001-07:002020-08-22T12:20:31.443-07:00Land Law Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3250 wordsLand Law - Essay Example The bequest incorporates a gothic house and an apparition train ride which Lee developed in the wake of securing the property. The unfortunately bedraggled and over developed phantom train track was fixed with reasonably startling articles including two dozen ghoulish stone resolutions some of which have tumbled to the ground. Despite the miserable condition of the property, you referenced that you experienced passionate feelings for the train ride and bowed to reestablish it when you previously checked out the property before the buy understanding. Furthermore, when you turned into the enlisted owner of Headlong Hall home and after the fruition date you quickly moved in. You were alarmed to discover that Lee took the rules with him after you have discovered that the resolution were the 1967 production of Bridget Hepworth before she become a renowned figure and merits a few hundred thousand pounds. Following seven days in the property you were astonished to discover that Ms Ingrid Ca ve is involving the west wing of the Headlong Hall that Mister Peter Lee changed over into a different four-room staying. Ms Ingrid Cave asserts that Mister Peter Lee has held the West Wing for her in 2004 when she ran into some bad luck however the understanding was never enrolled by both of them. She further guaranteed that her profession have improved and she invest the majority of her energy in Mexico where she leases her own level to clarify her year long nonappearance and her sporadic nearness in Headlong Hall. Concerning the evacuated Bridget Hepworth cut rules: I am anxious about the possibility that that Lee is well inside his legitimate rights to expel every single portable article that are not viewed as perpetual installations of the property. From your portrayal, Lee had the option to carry the rules with him when he moved out this shows no additional exertion can be applied to expel the rule consequently it is viewed as versatile. There was no notice that the price tag incorporates the air of the rules regardless of whether you referenced that you began to look all starry eyed at the ghoulish train ride when you originally observed it. The nonattendance of this specific thing in your concurrence with Lee plainly demonstrates that every single mobile object of the property being purchased are not part of the property bought. At this point, I might want to make a qualification between two sorts of propertiesââ¬real and individual. Genuine properties allude to lands which incorporate everything connected to it for all time while individual properties are portable properties which are questions other than lands that can be the subject of proprietorship, instances of which are stocks, cash, notes, licenses, and copyrights. Along these lines, by its very nature, it stayed an individual property. The rails, the n again, are changeless in character so it turned out to be a piece of the bequest. Having abstained from the order of properties, let us look at the goal of Lee in his demonstration of introducing the sculptures. It is past question that it was Mister Peter Lee who paid for the development and establishment of the ghoulish train tracks including the setting up of the rules. This demonstrates it was not part of the first property when he gained it. In reality, during those medieval occasions, the comprehension of paradise and hellfire was not far expelled from the applied comprehension of the mysterious. We will compose a custom paper test on Aspiration Emotions or on the other hand any comparative subject just for you Request Now The play is fixed with otherworldly creatures, holy messengers and devils, which may have ventured in front of an audience to explain a significant desire in the medieval ages, the intense quest for salvation. Without a doubt, this kind of aspiration is differentiated very well in the play Dr. Faustus, by the beginning of the Renaissance time frame and the desire it gives. A snappy outline of the Renaissance time frame shows that it was likewise the Age of Discovery; word has quite recently arrived at Europe of the presence of outlandish places in the ââ¬ËNew Worldââ¬â¢. This Age of Discovery is answerable for the adjustment in focal point of desire from the ââ¬Ëotherworldlyââ¬â¢ of the medieval ages, to the more natural ââ¬Ëworldlyââ¬â¢ aspirations of our occasions. We see Faustus, albeit moving to grasp common aspirations assailed by mullings of the other world. For instance he asks the evil spirit Mephistopheles, FIRST WILL I QUESTION WITH THEE ABOUT HELL. Let me know, WHERE IS THE PLACE THAT MEN CALL HELL (5. 120ââ¬135) And later, subsequent to being given a clarification, he says, COME, I THINK HELLââ¬â¢S A FABLE. (5. 120ââ¬135) In certainty these contentions appear to catch well the change between the medieval times and the Renaissance time frame since no perfect partitioning line exists. As Dr. Faustus urges his desire to concentrate on the open doors introduced by this alleged Age of disclosure. His determined concern is with sumptuous silk outfits and ground-breaking war-machines than with sparing his spirit. This differentiation among riches and salvation must be comprehended from the angle that Dr. Faustus expects to get such riches through a goal-oriented carrer5 in magic. In fact, dark enchantment appears to him as the main vocation that can coordinate the extent of his desire, the subject that can challenge his tremendous keenness. Being a researcher, he has aced the significant callings of his time. Explicitly he professes to have aced Law, medication and philosophy, and he discovers them all disappointing. Dr. Faustus finds that his tremendous desire have apparently met their match as he considers to dive further into magic. Faustus is loaded with thoughts for how to utilize the force that he looks for. He envisions accumulating extraordinary riches, however he likewise tries to plumb the puzzles of the universe and to revamp the guide of Europe. In spite of the fact that they may not be completely excellent, these plans are aggressive and move wonder, if not compassion. They loan a magnificence to Faustusââ¬â¢s plans and cause his journey for individual capacity to appear to be practically chivalrous, a feeling that is strengthened by the expert articulation of his initial speeches. Incidentally, Faustusââ¬â¢s aspiration appears to sap as he understands the underlying objective of his desire, to ace the dim forces of dark enchantment. This is portrayed from the manner in which he quickly limits his viewpoints once he really gains the for all intents and purposes boundless force that he so wants. Since he understands that the sky is the limit to him, he junks the excellent plans that he had pondered from the get-go, fighting himself with performing conjuring stunts for lords and aristocrats and taking an unusual savor the experience of utilizing his enchantment to pull handy tricks on basic people. Peculiar as it might appear, the acknowledgment of Faustusââ¬â¢s desire makes him unremarkable instead of raising him to more elevated levels of greatness. The inquiry asks; does control degenerate Faustus or is it through force that Faustus gets unremarkable? This is on the grounds that Faustusââ¬â¢s conduct after he sells his spirit barely ascends to the degree of genuine insidiousness. Or maybe, increasing supreme force debases Faustus by making him average and by changing his vast aspiration into a good for nothing thoroughly enjoy trivial big name. In reality this is an oddity since toward the start of the play; Dr. Faustus looks to acquire enormity from the acknowledgment of an unquenchable taste to transcend masculine gauges of accomplishment. However, as he picks up the objective, he appears to sink lower than the basest man. Might we be able to state that he ought to have been content with subduing his yearning flares, as the medieval timesââ¬â¢ rationale appeared to support? Saying so will mean he figures out how to live with his disappointing and unfulfilled life, which just makes the way for more void throughout everyday life. Extrapolating from the fore going persuades that such an ambitionless way of life will lead him to the very express that he is currently toward the finish of satisfying his journey, just he would have reached there snappier than following twenty four or so years. This state is obviously, the condition of being average. From the fore going, it appears to me that it will be misinformed to accept that Faustus is a scalawag. I accept that it is fitting to see him as a terrible saint, a hero whose character imperfections lead to his ruin. THESE METAPHYSICS OF MAGICIANS, AND NECROMANTIC BOOKS ARE HEAVENLY! (1. 40ââ¬50) This is on the grounds that, even from the above statement, the rationale he uses to dismiss religion is defective, since it drives him to utilize his aspiration in malevolent interests. This plays out gradually on the grounds that at first, in Faustusââ¬â¢s long discourse after the two heavenly attendants have murmured in his ears, his talk plots the advanced mission for power over nature (yet through enchantment as opposed to through science) in sparkling, rousing language. He offers a not insignificant rundown of great objectives, including the obtaining of information, riches, and political influence, which he accepts he will accomplish once he has aced the dim expressions. These are for sure noteworthy aspirations that move wonder, without a doubt. In any case, the real uses to which he puts his mysterious forces are frustrating and tasteless. Besides, Faustus proceeds to show visual deficiency very dissimilar to a man of information. This visual deficiency fills in as one of his characterizing qualities all through the play, and is seemingly propelled by his aspiration. He decides to see the world, as he needs to see it as opposed to all things considered. This avoiding of the truth is represented by his request that Mephistopheles, who is apparently repulsive, return as a Franciscan minister so he may not be unnerved by the devilââ¬â¢s genuine shape [as portrayed by Mephistophelesââ¬â¢ appearance]. Faustus even overlooks Mephistophelesââ¬â¢ urgings to him to relinquish his ââ¬Å"frivolous demandsâ⬠(3. 81). Note this alleged visually impaired aspiration of Faustus had disastrous outcomes. The tallness of which drove Faustus not to try and understand that he had arrived at the constraints of his mission for information. In scene six, we see the constraints of the devilish endowments that Faustus has been offered start to rise. He is given the endowment of information, and Mephistopheles eagerly reveals to him the insider facts of space science, however when Faustus asks who made the world, Mephistopheles will not reply. Faustus doesn't understand this is the primary event that the evil spirit has been not able to uncover to him the information he so beyond all doubt tries to pick up. I accept that if faustus had not been aimlessly goal-oriented however kept his head as he did when he aced the information on Law, Theology and Medicine, at that point his aspiration would have driven him to the accompanying acknowledgment: that all the common information that he has so unequivocally wanted focuses inflexibly upward, toward God. All things considered, obviously, he is totally disconnected from God to the point of being a nonbeliever. This separation began for a spell back when he misread the New Testament to state that any individual who sins will be cursed eternallyââ¬ignoring the stanzas that offer the desire for apology. In any event, when he sees Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Mephistopheles appear to him and turns out to be out of nowhere apprehensive shouting, ââ¬Å"O Faustus, they are come to bring thy soul! â⬠(5. 264), Faustus despite everything rules against apologizing. This conduct is ascribed to the terrible blessed messenger and Mephistopheles who causes him to accept that it is as of now past the point of no return for him, a conviction that perseveres all through the play. This reality is seen toward the finish of his days when he says, SWEET HELEN, MAKE ME IMMORTAL WITH A KISS: HER LIPS SUCKS FORTH MY SOUL, SEE WHERE IT FLIES! (12. 81ââ¬87) At this point, he has understood the horrible idea of the deal he has made. Regardless of his feeling of premonition, Faustus makes the most of his forces, as the pleasure he takes in conjuring up Helen clarifies. Faustus keeps on showing a similar vulnerable sides and unrealistic reasoning in that he looks for eminent beauty in Helenââ¬â¢s lips, which can, best case scenario, offer just natural delight. ââ¬Å"Make me unfading with a kiss,â⬠he cries, even as he keeps on holding his back went to his solitary trust in getting away from punishment specifically, atonement. Taking everything into account, Scholar R. M. Dawkins broadly commented that Doctor Faustus recounts ââ¬Å"the story of a Renaissance man who needed to address the medieval cost for being one. â⬠While somewhat shortsighted, this citation gets at the core of one of the playââ¬â¢s focal topics: the conflict between the medieval world and the universe of the rising Renaissance. To Faustus, his desire for power filled in as a defiling impact to him so that albeit right off the bat in the play, before he consents to the agreement with Lucifer, Faustus is loaded with thoughts of how to utilize the force that he looks for, he later uses this boundless capacity to accomplish rather vain adventures lastly acquire himself interminable condemnation References: http://www. sparknotes. com/lit/doctorfaustus/topics. html Step by step instructions to refer to Ambition Emotions, Papers viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-91912669591693414732020-08-21T10:02:00.001-07:002020-08-21T10:02:17.911-07:00How to Write a Good Sample of Essay Letter For College ApplicationsHow to Write a Good Sample of Essay Letter For College ApplicationsIt's important to know how to write a good sample of essay letter for college applications, but don't overdo it. Romanticism, a literary movement that swept through much of Europe as well as many other countries throughout the world, carried a spirit, which in itself was a revolt against an established order of things- precise rules, laws, and dogmas. It praised imagination over reason, emotions over logic, and intuition over science, making way for a vast body of literature of great sensibility and passion. Samuel Taylor Coleridge was an English poet, literary critic and philosopher who, with his friend William Wordsworth, was a founder of the Romantic Movement in England and a member of the Lake Poets. One of his phenomenal works is ââ¬Å"Frost at Midnight,â⬠which captivates a fatherââ¬â¢s love for his son and his understanding of Nature as an essential part of one life. J.M.W. Turnerââ¬â¢s artwork, ââ¬Å"The Burning of the Houses of Parliament, 1835,â⬠drew many connections to Coleridgeââ¬â¢s poetry, as both were highly symbolic of Nature, while following the other tena nts of Romanticism. While Turnerââ¬â¢s artwork and Coleridgeââ¬â¢s poetry are quite different from one another, the different tenants of Romanticism, including Nature and the Development of the Individual, the beauty of Nature and the value of hidden concern and affection all help bring the two pieces together. The starting point of ââ¬Å"Frost at Midnightâ⬠is, thus, a sharp and frosty night, on which Coleridge, surrounded by complete utter silence and the warm interior of the cottage where his son lays asleep, contemplates on the dark yet calm, viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-66452401287453977082020-05-19T01:14:00.001-07:002020-05-19T01:14:07.167-07:00Analysis Of The Article Mixed Blood By Jeffrey Fish In the United States it is not uncommon to hear the question, ââ¬Å"What are you?â⬠This seemingly simple question stems from the American belief that individuals can be divided into different biologically defined racial groups. However, anthropologists have long argued that U.S. racial groups are a product of American cultural constructions, meaning that racial groups are not genetically determined but only represent the way cultures (in this case Americans) classify people. For example, in the U.S individuals are classified into different races based on their heritage. However in Brazil, people are classified into a series of ââ¬Å"tipos based on their physical appearance. In the article ââ¬Å"Mixed Bloodâ⬠, Jeffrey Fish supports the claim that race is nothing more, but a social construct by demonstrating the cultural basis of race by comparing how races are defined in the United States and Brazil. Anthropologists argue that race does not exist because it is not a biol ogical entity. The cornerstone of this basis is Fishââ¬â¢s illustration that humans are a species; therefore we cannot be genetically different. This means that people from anywhere on earth can mate and produce fertile offspring. Using mitochondria we are able to trace the migration of mankind by using genetic markers. This is based on the idea that both males and females inherit mitochondrial DNA identical to their mother. Analysis of the Prologue in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet William Shakespeares classical play The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet begins with a prologue. Unlike most prologues this one is in the form of a sonnet. Sonnets usually consist of 14 lines, the prologue of Romeo and Juliet follows this structure. In this sonnet the 14 lines are divided up into 3 sections of 4 lines and the last section is made up of 2 lines. This sonnet uses three different methods to separate the 4 sections from one another. The first method is that the sections beging and end as sentences (at the end of the first 3 lines there are commas, but at the end of the fourth line of the section there is a full stop.) This isâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Just as the 1997 film Romeo and Juliet uses a news bulletin to present the prologue because modern audiences are used to information being interpreted this way, Shakespeare used a sonnet because his audience would be used to these. There is a stage direction just before the prologue begins, it reads Enter Chorus. The job of the chorus was not to act but to go onto the stage and read out the prologue. The chorus wasnt an actual character in the play, just as the newsreader is not a character in the film version. The job of the chorus (and the prologue) is to inform the audience of the main storyline of the play, because the play is a tragedy not a mystery so it doesnt matter if the audience know what happens anyhow. The prologue had to stand out and gain the audiences attention because when the play was originally acted out there were no special effects or computer graphics. So when deaths or fights occured in a play it was difficult to make them look realistic without actually hurting or killing the person. If the audience is told what is going to happen, they will be able to visualise it for themselves. When people see a play for the first time they interpret it in their own way, which is fine but can cause a misunderstanding of whatShow MoreRelatedThe Adaption of William Shakespeareà ´s Romeo and Juliet1235 Words à |à 5 PagesThe Adaptation of Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet, written by Shakespeare, is a world-known tragedy. On the other hand, individualism in men and women has great impact on the traditional American family; in fact, women have put their careers as a priority. They are entering in the workforce having higher incomes, simultaneously, leaving the concept of marriage way behind. Also, men and women are deciding not to get married at all, and just living in civil unions. This is the same case for same sex couples that adopt children, visualizing a traditional family thus causing a controversy in the society. Introduction Examining my lessons on how businesses and other similar entities traditionally developed their strategies, and comparing it with the way that some of todays more innovative firms have begun to plan, reminds me of the change in many companies approach to quality decision-making. From what I have learned, quality was traditionally associated with inspectors assuring quality after the fact--after parts were made--rather than getting everyone down the line involved in building in quality in the first place, as eventually happened through the TQM (Total Quality Management) movement. Indisputably, a similar trend is emerging in the fields of decision-making and strategy. Traditionally, many companies regarded strategyâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This, in turn, provides employees with information technology and considerably more information on a more frequent basis. Policy-Making: Genuine Application of Info- technologies in Decision-making Policy is the product of a group struggle between contending factions who constantly strive to weight policy creation and decision making in their favor. As one good example that I uncovered, within social service settings; resource policies promoted by management compete with service policies of social workers. Management familiarity with information technology rewards operational advantage in resource application at the expense of social work personnel. Social workers thus far have reportedly failed to incorporate information technology withhin the natural systems approach resulting in a state of disempowerment face to face with information technology itself. My relevant research indicates that the social worker will be able to avail himself of information technology only as a result of redefinition of social services organization policy based on social work concepts such as social change, involvement, informal organization and empowerment. As Mina packing, a encore violinist and cultural ambassador to Slovenia, argues: The world of arts must be rescued out of the prison of entertainment and the world of business must be led out of the desert of dullness of meaning! In this new relationship, art is a role model for business, since all great art pushes boundaries beyond the established norms. Answer: A doctor accidentally emailed the wrong file to his interns. The intention was to email the next days schedule, but due to fatigue, the doctor emailed a patient whose cancer had reached the final stages and was almost succumbing her. It happened that one of the interns was the son of the patient. The intern committed suicide and left a suicide note of which he complains of learning with great shock that the mother was going to pass away and that he had not been made aware. The doctor was later charged with breach of doctor-patient privilege. He was also convicted of second-class murder. Patient confidentiality is the preservation of trust between a doctor and their patient so that the patients information is kept secret unless there are fundamental reasons to do so. The disclosure of such information to a third party is the breach without the consent of law or the patient. This method was developed by the classical Hippocratic Oath updated for all standards of law, asserted from the declaration of Geneva. (Hulkower, 2016) The oath, therefore, obligates the doctor to maintain the privilege. The duty should be upheld as it is highly professional world over. A breach by a doctor should be punishable by law, either way. An intentional violation has the same effects caused to non-intentional ones. The patient who is affected suffers consequences that are hefty to bear. The results range from psychological, emotional and physical. First, a breach damages the professional relationship of the doctor to the patient. It is doubtful that one would tell their problems who are willing to shout them out. Once a doctor has revealed information to a third party, it is likely that the patient will withdraw from saying any problem, therefore, affecting their overall healing problem. In a case where the breach is made public. The doctor and even the institution he works for are likely to lose public trust. Losing public confidence may lead to the withdrawal of the certificate of performance by the individual. The hospital might lose not only patients but also a license of operation. These are an effect realized by the local community who might as well be affected (Tran, Morra, Lo, Quan, Abrams Wu, 2014) The penalties for breaching should be very grave to warn the doctors. Criminal proceedings are the best penalties compared to compensation. Damages done by the doctors at times cannot be compensated for, i.e., the suicide case noted. Criminal doctors may intentionally breach patient information for exchange of lump sum amounts. In this case, they will have enough finances to compensate the alleged patient. Hopefully, there are no such doctors in the society, but that will disadvantage the patient (Nolan Ackery, 2015). The British research on breeching discovered out that most breeching frequently happens when the doctor is at free of their operation time. At the cafes and canteen when they are having drinks, they form small crowds, and while reflecting on the days hard job, they talk about their patient. Should doctors never go to hospital canteens? The second most popular place is at the computer, faxes or printers. It is common for doctors secretary or even patient to see privileged information especially without passwords and even on printouts. The doctors should be more careful (Ost, S., 2016). For global benefits, breaching at times could be helpful even without the consent of the patient. A doctor can find a professional in another field. The doctor might have seen such a case before. He will probably define a lasting solution to the inquiring doctor. Family members might need particular information for diseases that will require monitoring. Diabetic and asthmatic patients should be managed at all times at home. For this patients, it is very logical to breach information to very close family members even without their consent. Specific infection is likely to cause risk to others (Wong, Lavoie, Browne, MacLeod Chongo, 2015). However much stigma might be created to the patient, revealing such information has to be done. Example of such a disease is Ebola, recorded in parts of Africa. It will cause harm to others. Therefore, it should be breached. However, the breach might be essential. Procedures are crucial, if not in any way, then the doctor has to be implicated. References Hulkower, R. (2016). The variation of themes and subjects in this topic is the strongest of all in this sample essay writing about Chopin.A sample essay writing about Chopin Fantasia Impromptu is about the listening and the way the composer was influenced by French composers during his lifetime. He started playing piano at the age of three, but started to compose about music after his father had to move away. He had to go to a different town, which resulted in a lot of stress for him.The composer had always loved the sounds of French music, which led him to write his own compositions. He used to be very fond of the music of Pierre Christian Verrein, Claude Debussy, Paul Hindemith, and Gustav Mahler. From the very beginning of his career, he made his own versions of such composers' works and played them to his schoolmates and students. He would enjoy l istening to their improvised performances, which he tried to imitate. In addition to listening, he would also listen to them singing their songs, which he could not hear on the original recordings. The choruses of these pieces would have been instrumental in stimulating his imagination to be more creative. He later became fond of the rap music, which brought to mind the French composers' thoughts about rhythm. He also liked the classical pieces in general, with a particular emphasis on the violin music. His sense of melody, as well as his use of phrasing, would have continued to develop, due to the inspiration he would get from these pieces. The story of this sample essay writing about Chopin Fantasia Impromptu is about how his fascination with this kind of music transformed into an experimental piece. There was no formal training or talent for playing the piano or being able to play any particular piece of music. In his personal time, he was doing some unusual things, which led to thi s very experiment.I would like to conclude with the following quotation from a sample essay writing about Chopin Fantasia Impromptu: 'Creativity is what happens when your eyes are opened.' Even though the story of The Kite Runner is fictional, itââ¬â¢s based on a true story and also on Hosseiniââ¬â¢s memories of growing up in Kabul. This also means that the genre of the book is not a fictional novel (many look at it that way), but an historical novel. We will write a custom essay sample on An Analysis of the Kite Runner or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page According to an article in USA Today, The Kite Runner has sold over 1. 4 million copies, which is a phenomenal sale for a first time author. The story tells of a friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul. Even though they were raised in the same household, Amir and Hassan are from two ââ¬Å"different worldsâ⬠. While Amir is the son of a wealthy and respected man (Baba), Hassan is the son of the family servant (Ali). The most important factor in the story is the relationship between Amir and Hassan. Their intertwined lives and fate, shows that throughout the story even though, when their relationship was inseparable in the start. They still manage to become separated through jealousy. Five years later, during the Soviet occupation, Amir and Baba are forced to flee. They spend their new lives in California, and Amir starts a career as an author. Even though Amir thinks that he has escaped his past. He still cannot leave the memory of Hassan behind him. Setting The story uses two main settings. One is Afghanistan and the other is California. We could also say that the story is divided into three sections: the memories of pre-conflict Afghanistan, adjusting to life in America, and returning to Taliban controlled Afghanistan. There is big difference between these places. While Afghanistan used to be a safe and peaceful nation, their reputation completely changed after Taliban started controlling the country. The country is also portrayed as a demolished and deserted place, while California is shown as a way to escape their problems in Afghanistan. California will always be a much safer place to live, for both Amir and Baba, but Baba still misses Afghanistan, since he used to be wealthy and respected. He misses Kabul because in California, he is completely the opposite. He works at a gas station for many hours, and through the book we can feel that he misses almost everything about his previous home. Itââ¬â¢s important to understand their struggle to adapt to their new home, because it shows how different Afghanistan is from California, and we also get a better understanding of the story. Structure and characters The Kite Runner starts with a nameless narrator, talking about his past and how itââ¬â¢s been affecting him for the last twenty-six years. The narrator also gives us clues to what might happen, and the troubles that will arise. After going through a few chapters, we get to know the main characters better and their problems. The characters that we first meet are Amir and Hassan. Amir is the narrator and the main character throughout the story. He is an Afghan man with a special childhood. Through most of his life Amir tries to redeem his reputation in the eyes of his father as he felt he was responsible for his motherââ¬â¢s death. He also wants to prove to his father that he isnââ¬â¢t a weakling, and want to become more like Hassan. Hassan is Amirââ¬â¢s best friend during his childhood and he is also his servant. Hassan is known for his loyalty and strong attachment to Amir. Later in the story, itââ¬â¢s revealed that Hassan is Amirââ¬â¢s brother. This means that Amirââ¬â¢s father had an affair with Aliââ¬â¢s wife, and that Hassan is actually his son. Hassan was also known for begin the best kite runner in Kabul. Baba is a wealthy and respected man, but becomes poor after he flees to America. His relationship with Amir is very turbulent, and he wants Amir to become like Hassan, strong and brave. Ali is Hassanââ¬â¢s father and Babaââ¬â¢s best friend. He is a Hazara, but he got the same characteristics as his son. Ali grew up together with Baba, just as Hassan and Amir did. He got a handicap as well; even though it doesnââ¬â¢t stop him from begin a loyal servant. Rahim Khan is Babaââ¬â¢s closest friend and one of the few people who know that Hassan is Amirââ¬â¢s brother. He is the one that calls Amir to go back to Afghanistan. Assef is a bully and is responsible for the rape of Hassan. This guy is also a fan of Hitler, which clearly makes him a sociopath. When he becomes an adult, he also joins the Taliban. He also has hatred towards the Hazara people, and likes to discriminate them. Soraya is Amirââ¬â¢s wife and has troublesome past. She also takes care of Baba, when he is sick and adopts Shorab without doubts. Sohrab is Hassanââ¬â¢s son. He also plays a major part in the book. Assef enslaves him after he is taken from the orphanage. Since Amir is the main character in the book, he also develops most of all the characters. We notice first that he slowly turns against Hassan, his anger and jealousy grows in one direction, even though Hassan doesnââ¬â¢t do anything wrong. The rape of Hassan is really an event that further separates their relationship. Since there is so much drama in this book, it doesnââ¬â¢t end yet. When the Soviet invades Afghanistan, Amirââ¬â¢s family flees to another country, unaware that they lose most of their wealth. For the first time they get a taste of how it is to be poor. Later in the book Amir gets a call from Rahim Khan and returns to Afghanistan. He finds out about Hassanââ¬â¢s son Sohrab, and is determined to bring him back home to America. Before he could save Sohrab, he had to face Assef. Getting beaten by Assef and saving Sohrab could be seen as a final way to redeem himself. This also made his guilt disappear. Themes and tones In this story, there are a lot of different themes we could discuss like example: bullying, friendship, guilt, betrayal, kite, honor, redemption, father and son relationship, manââ¬â¢s inhumanity to man, discrimination and loyalty. There is a lot of ethnic discrimination in Afghanistan and especially the conflict between the Pashtuns and the Hazara. The relationship between Pashtuns and Hazaras has never been stable; because Pashtuns are mostly Sunni Muslims and the Hazara are Shia Muslim. The Hazara has been discriminated mostly because of their faith, language and facial appearance. In the book Ali is loyal to Baba, because Babaââ¬â¢s father adopted Ali after his parents died. Since then Baba has always followed his fatherââ¬â¢s example and always been kind to the Hazara people. Guilt is also another theme that is brought up. After the rape of Hassan, Amir cannot bear to be around Hassan, because it reminds him of that day. He even lies to Ali, and says that nothing happened. The problem with Hassan is that he takes the blame for everything and he doesnââ¬â¢t want to hurt Amir. Even when Amir tells Hassan to hit him with the pomegranate, he refuses. When Hassan smashes the pomegranate on his own forehead, Amirââ¬â¢s guilt becomes even worse. In the end Amir makes Hassan and his father leave, and Hassan still considers Amir his best friend. The story is written in a way that it still affects you after your done reading. Even though itââ¬â¢s a dark story with a lot of hopelessness for the people in Afghanistan, there still is some hope and happiness. Honor is expressed in many different ways, but the quote ââ¬Å"for you, a thousand times overâ⬠is a great example of how they express theirself. Conclusion The kite is a theme in the book that represents freedom, even though youââ¬â¢re not in fully in control of the kiteââ¬â¢s fate. I think the theme describes the fate of Amir and how he develops throughout the book To me the story as said earlier is a historical novel, and not a fictional novel. This is because itââ¬â¢s based on a true story and experiences Hosseini had when he was growing up in Kabul. I as writer of this analysis is a Hazara, and I know what kind of suffering the Hazara people have went through. Sometimes I think that Hosseini might be Amir, but they sure do have some similarities. When comparing the death penalty to life in prison you will find many arguments in favor of each one. There are more for the death penalty though. The death penalty is the ultimate punishment for the ultimate crime to where as life is just a slap on the wrist saying you were wrong so you have to live in prison. Another argument would be that the death penalty deters crime while prison doesnt. Then finally when on death role you are in solitary confinement and not with the general population when you are sentenced to life. The death penalty is a much better way to deal with criminals and deter up and coming ones. The death penalty is the harshest punishment that one can receive for the ultimate crime. When someone takes a life, the balance of justice is disturbed. Why should someone who killed innocent people for their own enjoyment be allowed to live? The death penalty is a way to deter crime as well. Only the taking of the murderer's life restores the balance and allows society to show that murder is an intolerable crime which will be punished. If everyone sees that if they commit a crime that takes another persons life that their life will be taken as well they may not commit the crime. Although the victim and the victim's family cannot be restored to the way things were before the murder, at least an execution brings closure to the crime and closure to the incident for the victim's family and also ensures that the murderer will not be able to add anymore victims to his or her list. For the most cruel and brutal crimes, the ones where the death penalty is applied, offenders deser ve the worst punishment under our system of law, and that is the death penalty. Any lesser punishment would weaken the value society places on protecting lives. We have always used punishment to discourage ... viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-5307704755069189692020-02-23T09:57:00.001-08:002020-02-23T09:57:02.632-08:00Identify a current business issue Research PaperIdentify a current business issue - Research Paper Example This has caused businesses to take a step back and consider ethics seriously. Companies rely on auditors and accountants for their financial processes. For this reason, a strict code of ethics should be followed by accounting professionals. Even though it is common to find unethical behavior in accounting professions, ethics in accounting is vital because it is important to ensure a correct and clear financial image of a business, to instill confidence and trust with stakeholders and the public and to prevent fraud, embezzlement or financial scandals. Ethics are the backbone of any business and it is vital that ethics are implemented within the accounting and bookkeeping systems of an organization (Axline, 1990). Like other operating bodies involved in business activities, Accountants also need to focus on ethics set by the company in order to solve the problems and complexity that they will encounter. For example, the capital marketsââ¬â¢ need to focus on the broken up profits th at may attract an organizationââ¬â¢s management authorities to bend or even break accounting rules to inflate reported net income. In these situations, technical competence is not enough to resolve the dilemma (Hoffman, 1996). Qualitative Research The chosen method of qualitative research for conducting research on Ethics in Accounting is literature review, which facilitates the researcher to read and analyze the collected data from various sources and incorporate it in his research. Hypothesis Even though it is common to find unethical behavior in accounting professions, ethics in accounting is vital because it is important to ensure a correct and clear financial image of a business, to instill confidence and trust with stakeholders and the public and to prevent fraud, embezzlement or financial scandals. Literature Review Ethics are said to be an intangible asset of any organization and a key to success as it a system which is led by the moral and fair systems helps distinguishi ng the wrong or right. Problems in ethical system are, infect, a situation faced by a group of persons or by an individual, and to solve these ethical problem, they need to get complete information (ââ¬Å"Role of Ethics in Accountingâ⬠, 2011). According to Axline (1990) in his journal about accounting, ethics are the backbone of an organization and play a vital role in the development of the organization. As the importance of ethics is increasing, organizations are becoming more conscious about the ethical system in their book keeping and accountancy. Ethical environment in the accountancy and book keeping is now subject to scrutiny and criticism from the media, regulators, and public interest groups (Axline, 1990). Although accounting is a very helpful record of a business and it is a most valuable sort of knowledge, people who are directly or indirectly related to the firm believes that the accounting records should be same like a pure science and it should be strong enough to solve some problems of the firm. Similar to the medical and legal professions, society is also obligate to give grants to the public accountants some extra and especial rights which help them improving their performance and handle certain activities with more proficiency as they are suppose to get something good in return (Mautz, 1988). Professional practitioners are always on the higher expectations of the public and they are viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-75778717013337675422020-02-07T02:44:00.001-08:002020-02-07T02:44:02.646-08:00The marketing strategy of Apple Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 wordsThe marketing strategy of Apple - Essay Example This research will begin with the statement that Apple Inc. is a multinational company based in the United States, which specializes in designing, development, and selling of electronics to consumers, including phones, music players, computers, and computer software. Apple ranks second after Samsung, which is the most profitable information technology company in the world. Nonetheless, the success of Apple Inc. is associated with its marketing strategy, which is considered effective. Apple employs a simple marketing strategy, which involves its consumers, thus giving the company an edge over other companies in the information technology industry. However, if Apple could consider improving its marketing strategy, this would guarantee it more profits and continued competitiveness in the market. The marketing strategy of Apple is based on three main important factors. These are trust, communication, and focus. The company believes that it is important to be clear on the information the company wants to pass to consumers through advertisements. This, therefore, results in a focused communication with consumers. On trust, Apple aims at producing quality products, instead of competing with other companies. The high quality of Apple products ensures customer loyalty.à For this reason, Apple does not throw its products at consumers in its adverts; instead, the company only explains how the new product works, including the features that it possesses. (Nosal Web). Apart from the simplicity of the marketing strategy of Apple, this also exhibits a great level of differentiation. The company puts great efforts in ensuring that its products are highly differentiated from other products produced by its competitors. The design of Appleââ¬â¢s product is superior, compared to that of its competitors, thus ensuring its differentiation. In addition, Apple wants its consumers to have a good experience using its products. Therefore, the company develops both software and hardware to enable customers to enjoy using its products (Bui Web). Since the quality of Apple products is high, the company also sells these products at a higher price. Apple is known as a ââ¬Å"high-priceâ⬠leader in the information technology industry. However, today, Apple attempts to lower the price of its products, as a strategy of increasing its customer base. Alternatively, Apple produces complex products at a high price, and then produces lower-price versions of such products, which have fewer features, thus suiting the needs of diverse customers (Bui Web). With regard to distribution; Apple has a total number of stores exceeding 300, with about 50 stores in California, where the company has its headquarters. The Apple staff in these distribution stores offer full service to customers. However, the staff is not trained on selling skills, but only on addressing customer problems and queries on how different products work (Bui Web). This marketing strategy for Apple is appropriate for the company, since it has worked on increasing the companyââ¬â¢s profits over the years. First, this marketing strategy does not base on beating or competing with competitors. However, Apple focuses solely on the design and nature of its products to have an edge over competitors. Apple does not compare itself with its competitors such as Microsoft, but instead focuses on its own self-improvement, to remain competitive in the industry. In addition, the fact that the company aims at developing a pleasant experience for its customers, shows that the company is focused on customer needs and not its desire for profits, like other companies in the industry. Nonetheless, customer-centeredness is a great value, which Apple has adopted in its marketing strategy, which therefore, makes the strategy effective and agreeable. Although Apple has performed well in the market for the past decades, today there are viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-62874868535800524822020-01-29T03:42:00.001-08:002020-01-29T03:42:04.192-08:00Biomechanical Principles In Basketball Essay Example for Free Biomechanical Principles In Basketball Essay Basketball is a very competitive and popular sport in our society today. The NBA playoffs are going on right now and it has proved to be a very physical and intense post season. This sport takes an extreme amount of talent, coordination, and athletic ability to become a champion. There are a few biomechanical principles that are present during the game of basketball that help these athletes become great. The first biomechanical principle that is present in basketball is Newtonââ¬â¢s Second Law of Motion. This law deal deals with acceleration in the sport. The law states, ââ¬Å"The change in motion of an object is proportional to the force impressed; and is made in the direction of the straight line in which the force is impressedâ⬠. Newtonââ¬â¢s Second Law is applied to the dunking aspect of basketball. When a player is about to dunk the basketball a certain amount of force must be produced to jump. Also a certain amount of acceleration must be produced to send the player upwards towards the rim. If this does not happen then the player is going to not be able to dunk the basketball. The weight of the athlete also plays a big role in this action as well. A player who is heavier is going to have a harder time jumping as high as a player with less mass. The next biomechanical principle I found that deals with basketball is another Newton law. Newtonââ¬â¢s First Law deals with the law of inertia. This law is applied when a player is attempting a pass to his or her teammate. Newtonââ¬â¢s First Law states that an object will stay in motion unless acted upon by another force. When a player is passing the ball to their teammate, the ball will stay in a straight line of motion unless a member of the opposing team attempts to steal the ball from its destination. Lastly frictional force is another biomechanical principle that I found present in the game of basketball. The friction between the athleteââ¬â¢s shoes and floor must be very high. Static friction is used when the player wants to push off from the floor to make an athletic move. The type of shoes that the athlete wears is also going to play a huge role in how affective the playersââ¬â¢ moves are. Frictional for occurs when the player pushes down and backward on the floor. It is the force that acts forwards on the player and backwards on the floor. If it was not for frictional forces the athlete would not be able to start or stop his or her motion. In conclusion I found this biomechanical breakdown to be very interesting. Now that I have taken this course I look at sports from a greater biomechanical perspective. I feel that taking this course will really pay off as I become a professional in the field. Being able to break down sports into such a perspective is a great attribute to have as a future professional. viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-82966765494772321962020-01-21T00:06:00.001-08:002020-01-21T00:06:02.920-08:00DuBois and Black Nationalism Essay -- essays research papersDuBois and Black Nationalism The Epigraph:à à à à à ââ¬Å"The colored people are coming to face the fact quite calmly that most white Americans do not like them, and are planning neither for their survival, nor their definite futureâ⬠à à à à à W.E.B. DuBois ââ¬Å"A Negro Nation within the Nationâ⬠The Premise:à à à à à Black Nationalism is a pragmatic solution for the success and survival of the oppressed African Americans. The Argument: Black Nationalism is defined by Karenga, as the political belief and practice of African Americans as a distinct people with a distinct historical personality who politically should develop structures to define, defend, and develop the interests of Blacks as a people. Black Nationalism can be traced back to the 18th century, back to William Edward Burghardt DuBois, the most prominent black intellectual of all time. Black Nationalism is the response of African Americans to the continual racism and oppression they experience. It came about because of two reasons; the racism that they faced daily, and being exploited economically by white supremacy. Black Nationalism seeks a solution to the problems that African Americans face on a daily basis. After the Civil War, the situation of the black people was not good; it was a semi-free, semi-slave situation. An example of this is tenancy, where the Blacks have control of the work process and work schedule but ultimately had to give up the fruits... viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-25963439760301736782020-01-12T20:28:00.001-08:002020-01-12T20:28:02.529-08:00College Education EssayCollege education essentially is the key to success in the future. It opens many doors of opportunity and allows us to explore every option available. College education can provide a student with many more new and exciting opportunities that they never would have had if they drop out at high school. College education is important because you need a degree in order to get a good job or a stable career. Iââ¬â¢d like to talk of some of the benefits that furthering your education can provide. It is common for students in high school to wonder if college education is really important. Many high school students donââ¬â¢t enjoy their school life, so it is little wonder that when they have the chance to leave education many of them are tempted. However the importance of college education, as well as the huge differences to high school, should not be overlooked. Many students donââ¬â¢t know what they want to do with their life yet, thats why I feel everyone should go to college. In college you can learn about things you are really interested in and pinpoint what you want to do in life. In high school you canââ¬â¢t really do this so many students donââ¬â¢t know the opportunities they can fulfill. Lastly, these days if you donââ¬â¢t have a college education itââ¬â¢s likely that you wonââ¬â¢t make it very far in life. Businesses today only want the smartest people working for them, so they always overlook the drop outs and people that never went to college. If you want to make a good amount of money and be successful I strongly encourage you to go to college and get a good education. I would say this is the most important reason to go to college. In todayââ¬â¢s economy I believe going to college is the best decision you can make. having a good education has so many great aspects. Never overlook getting a quality education, it will always do you good in the longrun. viastoreram1979http://www.blogger.com/profile/07741033082758864318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7873805841373700806.post-32687704935142536622020-01-04T16:51:00.001-08:002020-01-04T16:51:04.453-08:00Manufacturing Simulation Software, Literature Review Q1: Identify factors that you would consider towards selecting an appropriate simulation software for use within a manufacturing organisation Factor | Reason(s) for Selection | Reference(s) | Analysis | Because analysis is the most tool for audit and analysis of the overall strategic position of the business and its environment. Marx was born in Trier, Germany on April , 15 1818. His father, a Jewish lawyer, provided a comfortable life for Marx and his siblings. His mother, Henrietta, was of Dutch decent. His parents goal was to provide a family life that would foster an environment conducive to the development of their children. His father hoped Karl would make a profound impact on the world. If he had only known how profound that impact would be. Marxs radical political ideas can be traced back to his high school years (1830-35). This exposure would have profound impact on the development of his own ideas. Marx joined a group of fellow students called the Young Hegalians. This group studied Hegals ideas on the development of the human mind. Through these studies, Marx gained the firm belief that all questions could be answered through the use of scientific or philosophical principles. Marxs atheistic views coupled with his studies of Hegalian philosophy lead him to this conclusion. These views lead to criticism from the university. Marx was forced to transfer to the University of Jena in 1941. His radical ideas and thesis seemed to be more readily accepted there and received much more credibility. Marx received his degree later that same year. After graduation, Marx took a job at Rheinische Zeitung, a German paper. It was not long before he was appointed chief editor. In this position he had great freedom to express his ideas. He wrote articles on various political and economic issues. His radical approach to these issues was to spell his demise. It was not long before Marx was asked to step down as editor. At this point Marx moved to Paris where he began his work with the communist views of a group of French workmen. My main reason is that learning to achieve balance between pleasure and pain is a natural and healthy part of the human experience. Research The primary source used for this paper is The Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle. In my understanding a moral person learns how to manage their feelings of pain and pleasure while seeking the understanding of what is morally right and what is morally wrong (p. 442, NPP). Therefore, a moral life is about learning how to manage and balance your feelings and not allowing them to dictate how you react to the different pleasures and pains of life. A moral life can allow for more pleasure and opportunities in life when a person is able to manage their feelings and have a chance to think about the problem ahead. By having good self-control towards the vices of pleasure and pain, the reactions you have to the vices are not as strongly influenced by personal feelings. Being the type of person who can put feelings aside and make decisions about right and wrong with little influences from personal experience, make these the best kind of people to look up to and admire in society because they are making the decision for the benefit of the whole rather than for the individual. Those who lead the moral life require other people, morality is a social experience to benefit the greater good of the group rather than the individual. Answer: Introduction: According to AASB, (2013), the fair value of the accounting practice is based on the conceptualization of fair price. According to the accounting concept and economics, the fair value accounting is considered as the value of any form product, asset or service. These are based on the reasonable, the estimation based on an impartial approach of the prospective value of the market, and the item acquired for a specific period. The measurement of the value of is dependent on the factors such as substitution, manufacturing and acquisition of the item. The fair value accounting concept also considers the value of the alternatives, which are the losses in the nature. It is also based on the utility and the production capacity of a particular item at a certain period. Then fair value is also estimated on the supply and the demand situation of in a given time. It also considers the risk factors in the various types for the accounting values. Moreover, the fair value concept of accounting also considers the cost of capital and the utility of personal recognized assets (Hu, Percy Yao 2015). The Global financial crisis is observed as the period of the lost desirables of the properties due to the absence of the process for the different sources of the active markets. This in particular has made the system more complicated in nature for the determining of the fair values. Thus, it is evident that the modification pertaining to the rules needs to be implemented for further modification. Although it has been observed that the fair value accounting did not have any sort of negative impact on the GCF as it is observed to provide the investors by furnishing the necessary details on the subprime positions of the company (Greenberg et al., 2013). For the purpose of this discussion, BHP Billiton Limited has been selected. With respect to fair value accounting in the mining industry, it has been observed that this particular industry is capital intensive in nature. It has been observed that this particular industry has high amount of noncurrent assets, as per the recommendations given by IFRS this type of business should involve itself to revalue its assets frequently. As per the guidelines given by IFRS, the nature of business involves risk of impairment losses, possibility of gain by devaluation and huge capital through the evaluation of assets. The fair value consideration is particularly useful for considering the impairment in the various parameters, which come into existence of the topic (Beisland Frestad 2013). Moreover, for the evaluation of the processes in this particular industry, IFRS has highlighted on the issues related to IFRS 6 of Exploration and Evaluation of Mineral Resource. This particular regulation has cl arified the different processes related to exploration and evaluation related to detection of mineral resources for obtaining legal authority for exploration in a particular region and at that meant of commercial feasibility of the resources (Smith Smith, 2014). Discussion As stated by Demerjian et al., (2016), The concept of fair value accounting is based on three-tiered hierarchy , which states the first level assets signifies the most accurate measurement of the fair values in active market. The second level assets are categorized as those assets where there is an absence of active markets and the distinguishable prices are unutilized in nature. The third level assets are categorized as those assets where there is absence of any significant input and the reason it is done using internal models and anticipation methods of the valuation process (Palea, 2014). The different types of pros and cons of this particular industry seen in different fields of application of fair value with an augmented focus on the considerations made due to global financial crisis. The pros of fair value accounting are advocated through the reduction in the misstatements pertaining to different types of accounting entries, which leads to accurate information. The business of this particular nature segregated to follow the disclosures and the requirements, which have been discussed in IAS 16 property, plant and equipment, act or as stated in IAS 38 act of intangible assets. The limitation of the conservation of historical price issues can be solved by the treatment of fair value accounting method. As per the AASB 13 guidelines, fair value accounting is particularly useful when the real times and the relevant valuation are required from beforehand for both non-transactional and transactional processes. In terms of the presentation of material financial information the concept of fair value is of paramount importance for maintaining transparency, neutrality and maintaining integrity in the presentation of financial report of the company. The cons of fair value accounting are seen in its dependency on the market values in terms of the revaluing of assets. This evaluation can create immense amount of fluctuation and changes in the market price. Additionally this can result in a negative image of the company where the business shows a fall in the value of the assets (Lee Park 2013). The application of this method can show company is responsible for displaying stability in the financial statement after every session or fall in the market prices; this is not only unethical as per the practices of AASB but also untrue in nature. In various cases, the role of this method has shown negative repercussions particularly on the global financial crisis in 2008. It has been observed that the strategic report of the BHP Billiton clearly mentions about the changes on the derivatives related to fair value. The annual report of the company further states that a good understanding of both the technical requirements and intrinsic values of the individual customers is reflected through the fair value of the products said by BHP Billiton Limited. As per the annual report of the company, the remuneration given by the company at present the company produces more than 41% from the face value of the fair value amount. It further states that the individual advisor of the committees calculates the amount and these are termed as the Kepler Associates by the company. The company report further states that the fair value does not take into consideration the forfeiture of the conditions on the awards. In the annual report of the company, it has been observed that BHP Billiton Limited is responsible for using fair value for long-term incentive scheme. As per t he scheme, the fair value computation is done by multiplication of the face value by the word and fair value factor of 41% of present design of the plan as evaluated by the Kepler Associates of the company. The company has further declared that share-based payments are in accordance with AASB and the amortization of the fair values equity and instruments as such have been granted to the executives of the company either as per financial year 2015 or 2014. In the annual report of 2015, BHP Billiton has clearly declared that the fair value change in the derivatives included a loss of USD 107 million that was unrealized in the previous years (Bhpbilliton.com, 2016). As it has been previously discussed about the various levels of the categorization of fair value treatment, the measurement of fair value at BHP Billiton limited is considered as a level 3 fair value. This is considered based on the input values used in the fair value measurement of the company. It has been further shown that the deferred tax balance of the company includes a composition of nontax depreciable adjustment related to the fair value. The net finance cost of the company includes the fair value change on the hedged loans, non-hedging derivatives and hedging derivatives. Some of the other financial risk management has been shown by the present practice of fair value in cross currency and interest rates types, commodity contracts, derivative contracts and forward exchange contracts (Bhpbilliton.comm, 2016). Conclusion The study discusses about the method of fair value treatment in accounting for the purpose of true and fair value judgment of the financial statements of a particular organization in a more accurate manner. This method was evolved after it was observed that historical cost accounting technique was not sufficient to adhere to the needs of financial reporting. Although there are several pros of the implementation of fair value accounting method in the recent times the consideration of this method has created several controversies. The main complication in the mining industry has advised due to the absence of relevant guidelines for the evaluation methods. Moreover, the accounting concept is only effective in items, which are unique in nature such as patents and equipments and also the different types of items such as electronic and technology-related items which gets replaced over time by a more advanced product. The fair value method of accounting is only useful in suggesting a techni que for accounting of the products but does not demonstrate on how the product is to be classified and which process is to be implemented for evaluation of the items. It has been observed that over the time Australian accounting standards Board with assistance from IASB has been able to resolve several issues. The introduction of new standard as per AASB 13 the accountants are able to measure the financial items with more uniformity and accuracy. Reference list AASB, C.A.S., 2013.
